After being up two games to none, the Sabers lose three consecutive games to the Andre Chiefs to lose the ICL finals. The 1-0 and 2-1 nail-biters in games 3 and 4, were heartbreaking losses for the team. After grabbing an early lead in game 5, the Chiefs came back and exploded for 10 runs.
The Sabers will be back and are excited for next season!
The decisive game 5 for the Intercity League Championship, has been moved to Maplewood at Malden Catholic tonight (Friday the 18th) First pitch 8PM!
The Sabertooth Expos defeated the Andre Chiefs 18-7 on Monday night, to clinch 1st place for the Intercity Baseball League playoffs.
The team will face off against the winner of the Melrose vs Malden play in game. The first round of the playoffs will be a three game series, which is set to start next Monday night at Morelli Field. The finals will be a best of 5 series to proceed after. The entire finals will be played at Morelli Field in Melrose, MA.

Ace Nick Johnson tossed a complete game on Thursday night, striking out 12. Johnson improved to 6-0.

Long-time Saber veteran Dionys Quezada hit a two run home run on Wednesday night. Dionys has been an elite catcher behind the plate, while showing a lot of power at the plate over the years.
Leon Paulino hit his third homer of the year on Wednesday night.
The Sabertooth Expos go into the 4th of July break with a strong 11-2 record.
The team came from behind and won 8-7 on Tuesday night. However, dropped Thursday's nights matchup 7-3. The team is back in action Wednesday night at 8PM. It is there only game for the week of the 4th.

Newcomer Jairo Vasquez, after striking out the final batter he faced on Tuesday night. Vasquez earned the win in his first appearance for the team. Jairo was named NJCAA Div 3 pitcher of the year. Jairo completed his sophomore season at Northern Essex, a NJCAA powerhouse.

Saber veteran Matt Consigli, has been a big part of the team's early success. Consigli has come up with clutch hit after clutch hit on the team's current run. Consigli is second on the team in RBIs and is hitting .304.
