Nick Powers strikes out 13 as the Sabers defeat The BASE 10-7 on a hot day at Morelli Field!
Powers tossed 6 strong innings, to earn his second win of the season. Powers also hit a clutch 2 RBI double in the 4th, to put the Sabers up for good.
Luis Quintero blasted a 2-run homer in the 5th.
Angelo Colucci reached base all 4 times, along with 2 runs and an RBI single.
Jery Sena also had 2 hits and 2 RBI.
The Sabers improve to 5-6 and have won 5 of their last 7 games.
The Sabers will host the first place Blue Sox, on Tuesday night. It is the first of three consecutive games for the Sabers.
